Something about me?
Well, I never think there is much to tell… but I suppose there is if you’ve never met someone.
I like the outdoors, a lot, so much so that I’ve broken quite a few bones. I’ve sailed the English Channel more times than I have fingers and live oooop North, well, Doncaster to be precised. It’s like a little micro-climate here, slightly to the east of the Penines and a good hour from the East Coast and we seem to get all the best weather.
Is there anything more to tell?
Errr…. okay. I run a company that’s involved in supplying IT Departments, Marketing Agencies, Personnel Departments and Companies with what is essentially an IT product used for as part of their marketing and compliance process. I’ve a strong IT background, worked in systems across manufacturing, operational and departmental boundaries, worked as a programmer, finished University and went freelance within a year. That was 10 years ago. Today I do exactly the same job as I always have since; I just happen to run a business that delivers marketing design because I find it far more enjoyable than consulting or contracting.
At the moment, I’m at the healm of putting the business systems in and managing the contracted services side for this company.
I like to bench test stuff. Quite normal really.
